FFL Transfer Requirements

Step 1: Purchase Your Firearm

More details:

  • Complete purchase online and checkout.
  • Only FFL items will be shipped to FFL Dealer.
  • Items not required to ship under restriction will be shipped to specified shipping address.
  • This only applies to "Serialized FFL Restricted Items"

We are a licensed FFL/SOT (07/02).
We follow all BATFE rules and regulations for the transfer and sale of firearms in the United States.

The possession, handling & transfer of all the receivers, pistols, and rifles we offer will be provided by us a licensed FFL (07/SOT), to your designated FFL.

Step 2: Contact Your FFL - Local Dealer

More details:

Contact your FFL dealer:

  • Inform them of your purchase and desire to the firearm to them.
  • They will most likely charge a transfer fee.
    • We have seen fees anywhere between $15 and $75.
  • Ask them to email or fax their FFL certificate to HKParts.net.
  • Include your order number on the form to speed up the transaction.
  • In states with more strict laws we suggest calling your preferred dealer to discuss legalities before purchase.

Step 3: Local Dealer Emails / Faxes a copy of their FFL Certificate to HKParts.net

Occassionally your FFL dealer could request that HKParts.net contacts or submits an FFL to them first. This isn't necessary or required by the ATF but we will swap forms if it will speed up the process. We suggest using the BATF's FFL eZ Check to verify authenticity.

Upon shipment of the item a copy of our FFL certificate is included.

Step 4: HKParts.net ships your purchase to the FFL Dealer

Immediate Shipping: HKparts.net will ship your FFL item the same day we receive the FFL certificate.

Step 5: Pick Up your purchase at your chosen FFL Dealer

More details:

After complying with Federal, State, and local laws your FFL will release your item to you.
