Knife Operation & WarrantyBenchmade Warranty
All name brand knives are covered under warranty by their respective manufacturers. Knives that have been modified or converted are not covered under manufacturer's warranty, but are guaranteed to arrive is working condition. No further warranties apply. We ask that customers work directly with manufacturer's to handle warranty issues. We are happy to intercede if necessary.
Shipping information
Shipping is done via the USPS and in some cases via UPS. Delivery time varies depending on your location and we make no guarantees about delivery time (just helpful estimations). Generally all orders are shipped out within 48 hours during regular business days (often the same day we receive them). In some cases delays are inevitable and shipping may be postponed.
Auto law & Legal Status Terms The Switchblade Act, (Pub.L. 85-623, 72 Stat. 562, enacted on August 12, 1958, and codified in 15 U.S.C. § 1241–1245), prohibits shipment of automatic knives across state lines, with the following exceptions:
- to civilian or Armed Forces supply or procurement officers and employees of the Federal Government ordering, procuring, or purchasing such knives in connection with the activities of the Federal Government;
- to supply or procurement officers of the National Guard, the Air National guard, or militia of a state, territory or the District of Columbia ordering, procuring, or purchasing such knives in the connection with the activities of such organization;
- to supply or procurement officers or employees of the municipal government of the District of Columbia or the government of any State or Territory, or any county, city or other political subdivision of a State or Territory; (4) to manufacturers of such knives or bona fide dealers therein in connection with any shipment made pursuant of an order from any person designated in paragraphs (1), (2), and (3).
Sections 1242 and 1243 of this title shall not apply to -
- any common carrier or contract carrier, with respect to any switchblade knife shipped, transported, or delivered for shipment in interstate commerce in the ordinary course of business;
- the manufacture, sale, transportation, distribution,possession, or introduction into interstate commerce, of switchblade knives pursuant to contract with the Armed Forces
- the Armed Forces or any member or employee thereof acting in the performance of his duty;
- the possession, and transportation upon his person, of any switchblade knife with a blade three inches or less in length by any individual who has only one arm; or
- a knife that contains a spring, detent, or other mechanism designed to create a bias toward closure of the blade and that requires exertion applied to the blade by hand wrist, or arm to overcome the bias toward closure to assist in opening the knife.

This does not apply to automatic knives manufactured, distributed, purchased or sold within the state of Utah. Proper identification may be required before the order is shipped in cases where restricted items are purchased.

All equipment is sold subject to public law 90-351, title III, U.S.C., Section 2511, and any local, state or federal ordinances. Please consult your local and state laws before ordering if you are in doubt (and when in doubt do not make a purchase). Absolutely no sales to minors. By placing an order, the buyer represents that the products ordered will be used in a lawful manner and that the he/she is of legal age to own these products. HKParts.net Inc will not be held liable for the misuse of any product purchased from us or any of our distributors & dealers. As applicable: no product is 100% effective against attack and HKParts.net Inc assumes no responsibility if a product purchased from us is not effective in preventing bodily injury, dismemberment or death.
Anyone attempting to falsify information or defraud our company in any way will be turned over to the proper authorities. Attempts at extortion, blackmail or entrapment will be met with legal action, resistance, and will be propagated to the media if necessary. You agree that if the need arises for potential action against our company you will first attempt to resolve the issue with HKParts.net Inc or an agreed upon mediator.
