New HK German MP5 A3 Retractable Stock "H" Buffer For All HK A3 Retractable Stocks. These Are Common Wear Items & Do Need To Be Replaced When They Become Yellow, Brittle & Worn. A List Of Things To Look For When The Buffer Needs To Be Replaced: Discoloration Of The Buffer, Buffer Becomes Hard & Brittle, Tears Or Breakages Of Any Part Of The Buffer, Etc. Replacement Of The H Buffer On Your A3 Stock: - Use A Set Of Needle Nose Pliers Or Flat Head Screw Driver To Remove All Of The Existing "H" Buffer. In Most Cases You Will Have To Remove The Old Buffer A Piece At A Time.
- Place The Buffer In Boiling Water For Several Minutes Or Until The Buffer Becomes Pliable.
- Press The New Buffer In the Opening in The Back Of The A3 Stock Until It The Buffer Sits Flush With The Backplate. You May Need To Use A Dowel To Help Push The Buffer Into Place.
